beyond words ; war photographers
The time is 11:55am and I am not on my thirds cup of coffee. I have been listening to the same cd for the whole day so far. So here it is. Lots of the time I blog about life being just perfect and fine, well This one is going to be a little different.
This morning I got the chance to watch this documentary called "beyond words". It was a documentary which told of the life of war photographers. Honestly, afterwards I wasnt really sure of what to think. So often I just sit here and chill out. I tend to get so caught up in life in perfect little canada. Like which is cool by all means, but Sometimes, Not all the time, but sometimes we need to be reminded that things here are different than anywhere else. We are so lucky it is unbelievable. Watching this film just opened my eyes as the photographers talked about their lives and how being away from home adds that stress to their life. Its a totally different stress than I feel for my physics 20 exam last week.
It is so weird that this has jsut come into my view right now, cause in a couple days it is going to be rememberance day. A day when we are suppose to be thankful, and remeber those who went out on the line for us. To be frank with you. It has never really ment anything to me, When I thought of remeberance day all I thought of was a long boring assembly and a few days off. I have to say that I am definitly going to have a different point of view towards it this year. That is forsure.
Just thought I would toss that up to remind us All. On another note, today is sunday. Definitly my favorite day of the week. It is the one day where I can just sit around in shorts and hang out, and not have that feeling like I should be doing something. It is nice for a change. If anyone wants to do something today give me a call, or leave me a message. I would totally be up for something random today. But yea, I hope that helped you think.
Have a nice day folks. And when something just doesnt go quite right, remeber that we have it so good. Note just everyone can walk down the street to a starbucks like we can.
Merry Christmas
