What do you want for Christmas.

This evening I had the chance to get together with my family. It was kind of a Christmas gather of sort you could say, because my sister will not be home for Christmas. So there I was with my family, We did a fair bit. And honestly it was quite nice. We visited, ate, exchanged a few gifts, and they ended up watching a movie called the "pollar express"

I knew a little bit about this movie and honestly, it didnt seem like the type of movie that would intrest me at all, So I sat on the computer just taking care of somethings like shows, bands, e-mails. The regular. After getting really bored from doing this I decided that I would go and watch a little bit of the movie.

I started watching the movie right around the part where all of the elves were gathered around santa, and the children were also there. This was the time which santa was going to pick a child to give the first gift to start christmas with. He went to all of the children telling them each unique things, all relateing from having good spirit, to needing to have patience. All of this really reminded me of something. He picked this one child (who's name I can not recall) and he got him to come sit on his knee and asked him "what do you want for Christmas" This was un-ordinarily signifigant. Just the way he looked into the childs eyes. The child leaned over and whispered in santas ear and he gave it to him.

All of this made me think. If santa asked me right now, "zach, what do you want for christmas" What would I say? Like anything in the world? Thats a very large question if you ask me. You could either make a very wise choice, or a very bad one. Either way. I realized that I would want to visit this one girl who I am friends with. I think she is an amazing person, and to see her and just get to hang out with her for a night would just about make my life.

Watching this movie also painted a picture in my mind of Jesus, and us. I watch santa and the way he asked the child what it was that he wanted for christmas, and it is if though it reminded me of what christ does for us everyday. He is always asking us, what do you want today? I want to be closer to you God, I want to be with you! Its so crazy how cool God is, the way he still takes me in even though I screw things up everyday. Litereally. its unreal.

Anyways I thought this all was neat. It kind of got me in more of a christmas mood. I hope that it has done the same for all of you. Take the time to think of why christmas is, whats the reason for the season. its christ jesus. Honestly it is, and thats so cool. That he came here for us.

Anyways it is late, I am tired, I should go.
Love your family over this season of giving and love.
have a beautiful night.

Much love;
zachary michael
