I wrote these while I was travelling

January 9th - 1:01pm

Dear friends,

To be quite honest with you, right now - I am not really sure what to write you. Obviously, leaving was hard, leavi ng my parents, friends, Alex. There were a few tears, can you really escape them? Not really, - I was honestly ok with it to (crying a bit).

But that has passed, and I write you from a mildly confused state of mind, not to confused though! I am sitting in the Vancouver airport right now, just waiting. The Quantas check in is not open yet, which sort of stinks because having my boarding pass would really set my mind at east, Its really ok though, I will live!
Since I have never really been in a large center such as this, its sort of weird, a little overwhelming, nothing I can't take though - I'm definitely relying on God's strength right now - If I wasn't I am pretty sure that I would be a huge mess.
It just sort of stinks though, not being familiar with things, I know I will figure it out. I have figured out that the quantas check in is not open, my next question is when does it open so I can sit with peace!? haha, its sort of funny, in a very horrible way, it all sort of feels like a movie. If any of you have seen the one scene in... I believe garden state, right at the beginning when he is having the dream about being on the plane - Thats what this all feels like.

I got my starbucks though, so thats nice - just to have something a little familiar.

The point is this, (I can't believe I am actually gone now - on my way to that far away land) I am alive and breathing, things are good, and I look forward to a good sleep on the plane.

I'll write you all soon.

January 11th (10th for the rest of you)

Friends,

After all of that waiting, I am finally here. I am sort of soaking wet, it's true - it actually is super humid (and I have not even left the airport). I thought that the Vancouver airport was busy, I had no clue what I was getting into once I got here.

I had to wait quite a bit for my luggage. It sort of scared me, you know - being in a foreign land, without any of your bags, but they came eventually. Once I got everything gathered I begun the long process of waiting to go through quarantine (sort of like customs), but one of the ladies who was walking by just stamped my customs card, and let me go thru, without waiting in line. I am not sure why she did that (maybe because I look like an awkward traveller?) Either way, I was excited to get out of there, it was so crowded you could barely walk - never mind transport my guitars and what not.

So that is that, I am here, the flight from San Fran was crazy long and boring - I did get some sleep though, so that is good. I feel good right now, so this is cool.

Anyways, the shuttle should be leaving soon.
I'll write when I get a chance to again!
