Racial tolerates; in life and the novel
Class: English 20
By: Zach Lucky
There is approximately over six billion people in the world. With large numbers comes a large number of different people who are different sizes, ethnic back rounds and different colors. Some might wonder how so many people who are different coincide, but really if you think about it, it should be easy.
There are a lot of people in this world who believe in only one race, or dislike people of other color. This is called racism, and I strongly disagree with the idea of racism. I believe that we are all living this life and we should all share in the difficulties and tasks of everyday life. The modern man has taken life and modernized it to the point where life for many people revolves around a computer screen or a few numbers. With this sense of business comes an already occupied mind. This brings me to my point which is this: the components of racial intolerants are selfishness, self centeredness, and parts of a generation who don’t have time for other people. The modern world is constantly telling is through ads, movies, the internet, and every other resource they can find, that everything is about us. “We need to look our best”, “We need to have the best of everything”, “We need to be better than everyone else”. All of that is rubbish in my mind. We all have been created one by one in Gods hands and for a purpose, we haven’t been put on this earth to cast down others, or to have the best of everything. It is nice to have a few nice things, but when God puts those possessions in your hands share. I actually think that the soul idea of so many races living on one planet is beautiful. Its Gods handy work. Lots of the times we see nature and say, “thanks for that God, it is beautiful”. That is good and all, but next time you walk down the street look into people’s eyes, they might look like they are mad or distressed but look through their sadness, or whatever emotion stands in the way, and look at how beautiful they are. We are all beautiful people, no matter what certain people say.
I honestly believe that we need to take a stand against racial intolerants. We should be tolerant of everyone, no matter what their race is, or what they look like. I’ll even go out on the line and say that we should love everyone. If one our of every 50 people did that, this world would slowly change, it would make a world of a difference. That’s my challenge to you.

Hi,
Thanks. That was really, really real. And it spoke the words that so many of us push aside and think that it isen't an issue, but it really, really is. And you took a stand, nice work.
Look: Thanks for the phonecall. I called back but your Dad picked up and he said that you'd probably be sleeping. (Apologies on my part to them. I hope i didn't wake them up!) Which is all fair and good, i'm sorry. My dad kept talking and talking and. Maybe another night, yes?
Lol. And i watched the Christmas episode of O.C (s.1) and i thought of you. :).
Good night.
Brooke.
