the hidden track
Hi friends, family. It has been a while since I have wrote on here, but it has been much needed. Trust me. Life for the past while, lets say two weeks. Has been pretty crazy, just with school work, the band, a girlfriend, God, my parents, and dealing with the rest of the issues that teenagers have. thats right, all teens have some issues, I dont care who you are. lol
School work. Grade 11 is definitly harder than grade 10, and or grade 9. Things are jsut more grown up I guess you could venture to say. Its like all of a suddon, whoa! I actually have to figure out a vague idea of what I am going to do so I can pick the right classes, and then all of a sudden it kicks in that you have to get good marks in these classes, so you can have a real life. So all of that stuff has been pretty crazy, today I got my report card and all of my marks are 80's except my math and physics are in the 60s [69, 67] So it wasnt too bad. My overall average was 78.5 I was happy enough with it.
The band. The band has been along time coming forsure, but it has definitly been a lot of work. for the past couple weeks we have been writting and playing like mad to get ready for pumpkin smash which we ended up getting third in. The band has been good, but it just makes a person really tired. But yes, I have also been working on a bit of a "side project" Which I am not sure what it is called yet, but it is basically just me and my guitar. All acoustic music. Kind of like a emo, indie, finger picking something something genre. What are musical genres anyways.
Girlfriend. For the past few weeks I have been dating this super cool girl, kendra. And things honestly were hard for a fair bit of it. She use to live in saskatoon and then moved to brooks alberta. SO we thought we would give the whole distance relationship thing a spin, and I must say that it is easier said than done, but God showed me a lot through her and thu our relationship. It was super fun when I got to see her and everything. And hey we are still cool friends, it was just a little hard somedays.
My parents. Over the past few weeks things tended to get a little crazy with my parents, just with school and band. It is totaly understandible, and honestly me being a teenager. I was probably in the wrong most of the time, and they are jsut looking out for me, but most of the time that is really hard to hear and things end up gettinga little crazy but it seems to always work it self out in the long run.
God. God... I dont even know what to say about God, other than he is a cool dude. I mean I screw things up day to day, sometimes more than once in a day and he still loves me. He is still there at the end up the day with open arms saying, you know child I will always love you no matter what you do. And If you think about that it is quite cool. I cant get over how good it is. How good he is. He seems to teach me new things everyday whether it is in a friend, or a relationship, thru a teacher or a sunrise. God is always there waiting to see if you will catch his little things he drops in our days. And hey, start looking for God in your days, start looking to see what he can teach you or what he is trying to teach you cause trust me. He is there, there more than you will ever know, holding your hand and picking you up our of the dust when you fall. Trust him.
On a last note I lvoe the rocket summer. I think a lot of people meet me and think that I jsut listen to metal, and hardcore stuff, but there is a lot more than that which I lsiten to. And enjoy. If you are going to check out one song check out christmas present. It is a crazy sweet love song, and love is good. Love is what keeps us together when we fall. At the end of the day when everything else fails and falls away, love will still be there.
Thats all I have for now
ANd thats probably the
Longest blog I have ever
Posted so leave some love
For me folks. thanks for
reading it.
Much love. Zachary michael
